As Oscar Winning Film, Parasite shined brightly in the Academy Award ceremony 2019, Korean Filmmaker Bong Joon-ho instantly came to spotlight. Parasite is the second of Bong Joon-ho’s film that was nominated in Cannes Film Festival, and his first that won the most prestigious award at the most prestigious film festival, the Palme D’or from the Cannes Film Festival, making it the first time for a Korean to ever do so.

The most famous film by Bong Joon-ho in Hollywood, it is about a few bunch of survivors in the near future. The climate change has hit the world hard and the survivors are trapped inside a train that travels the globe. What is interesting, is a new defined class system in the train itself.

Bong Joon-ho have advocated the case of environmental damage and climate change and in this film too, he portrays a young girl who revolts against a big multinational company that wants to capture her best friend, a beast named Okja.

Probably the best Bong Joon-ho film, maybe better than Parasite for some cinephiles like me, as it sets the bar of excellence what Bong Joon-ho can achieve as a director.
Based on the real life incidents, two police officers investigate the on going murders of girls in the town, that leads to a serial killer on the loose.

3. Mother (2009)
A really intriguing and investigative tale by Korean Filmmaker Bong Joon-ho, about a mother who goes to extreme ends to prove his son’s innocence, when he is framed for a horrific murder of a girl.

A monster arises from the sea and starts killing the people all over the town. A family raises it’s arm against the monster and tries to help to minimize the damage caused by it.
